The Wells Gardner D9200 is in my opinion the best arcade monitor around. The D9200 is capable of displaying resolutions that were present at the arcade without stretching or altering command lines in MAME. Simply put it's a plug and plug monitor that has mini bomb characteristics.
MOUNTING
Take this thing seriously because if you drop it or fiddle with the back it can kill you. Yes, this monitor can fry your ass without being plugged in to the wall. I cannot stress this enough, so get as many people you need to feel comfortable setting this bad boy and be extremely careful. While it only weighs in at 80 or so pounds it is very awkward and even more so when you have to reach to fit it through the mounting brackets. I thought it would have been 100 times easier if the bolts were wielded onto the actually mounting frame. If this was done you could just drop it in. It really only needs 2 people one from the front and one from behind. Send your friend back there...he's expendable just warn him not to touch the internal components..or ZAP!!! There are 6 holes (4 used to mount) on the surrounding frame I took a piece of rope and fed it through 4 of the 6 holes (2 middle which are not used to mount, and bottom L/R) so I could have a grasp on it beyond my reach. Once the upper bolts are in place you can let it even though they are not secured. Remove the rope and fit all 4 bolts, secure it to the frame and an earthquake will not move it from its home.
THE DISPLAY
Absolutely gorgeous!! I bought the 27 inch because the SlikStik arcade cabinet it meant for this monitor. I would have gotten the 33 inch but SlikStik is still working on perfecting that cabinet. Besides I don't know if the almost double in price($800) justifies the gain in 6 inches of screen viewing.
Capable of resolutions of 800 x 600 it really isn't going to replace your computer monitor. The max resolution is perfect for MAME gaming but don't expect great results with the newer graphic producing games.
The refresh rate is what really sells this monitor. Arcade visual representation at home and damn perfect results. I'm not going to get into the technical aspect of the innards of the monitor nor the settings that may have to be tweaked to get the prefect display. Rather then that I'll show you some pictures that enlighten my gaming experience.
IN CLOSING
You really can't go wrong with the D9200 it has a fantastic display and easy of use. Just be careful in handling the monitor and you are good to go. You can even get an Arcade VGA card to add to it's simple setup. A++++
