LIGHTED CREDIT BUTTONS

Here I go again :) Seems I need some sort of LED uniformity around my cabinet and my control panel was getting lonely. I came to a simple conclusion...more LED's Please.

THE LIGHTED BUTTONS

A few things happen when you play a 4 player cabinet. First you have a very fun time, and second you have a tendency of searching for the correct credit button in minimum lighting situations. I play in the dark as you can tell from my countless lighting pages. So I decided to pick up lighted 161 Lamp small round pushbuttons (blue, red, green, and yellow model #54-0004-**) which include a 12-volt bulb.

The buttons are a little bit smaller then the normal competitions but will fit inside the same size hole. You may have to reposition them when you install them. There is a little bit more headroom so make sure it's covering the complete hole from outside the panel. Shine a flashlight through to see if you see visable light then tighten.

WIRING

When using LED's please stick with the 4 HED because the outer housing of the bigger 6 HED will not fit through the pushbutton lighting entry. Although I do own 6 HED white LED's that are smaller and will fit so it's your gamble when you order. I always use a colored LED for the colored button to bring out the illumination. One word a caution if you decide to go with lighting and have a yellow button use a white LED because the amber one makes the button look orange. Wiring yet again it very simple just daisy chaining them together into a molex connector. If you are replacing older pushbuttons you might look into purchasing larger female crimp connectors to accommodate the larger connections on the HAPP lighted buttons.LINK TO GENERAL LIGHTING
